Interest on the Fixed Deposit Account is subject to withholding tax: 6% for resident and 14% for non-resident.
Interest on Maturity – Interest income will be credited into the customer's account on the maturity date.
Monthly Interest – Interest income will be credited into the customer's account on a monthly basis.
Advance Interest – Interest income will be credited into the customer's account on the date the account is opened.
Pre-mature withdrawal –No interest income will be issued to pre-mature withdrawals within the first 3 months. Interest rates from Everyday account will apply to pre-mature withdrawals above 3 months until the maturity date. For monthly/advance interests, such interest income that have been credited prior to the pre-mature withdrawal of the placement will be deducted from the principle before it is released to the customer's account.
